KERATIN Lash lift

What is KERLATIN Lash Lift?

A lash lift is essentially a perm for your natural lashes that provides a lift and curl for weeks. Lash lift offers eye-popping results by creating a natural curl and lift to your lashes. Our keratin lash lift protects the integrity of your lashes and by using a conditioning serum that repairs and hydrates each lash fiber, working to reverse the damage and drying effects from a lash lift. The lashes appear instantly healthier.

Everyone has different lash lengths and growth directions so this lash lift allows you to wake up with curled lashes without having to use a curler, apply strip lashes or get extensions.

It is such a low maintenance service so it is perfect for those who don’t have time or know how to apply on strip lashes everyday.

The great thing about lash lift is that you can customize it. What does this mean? It means that all lash lifts are not created equal. We can alter the tightness of lash curl and add a tint to make the lashes look thicker and darker. During the consultation, we can decide what look would best suited for your eyes. Whether it is a soft and natural curl or a tighter lash curl for a more dramatic look.

How it different from lash extensions?

Lash lift is a perm that bends your natural lashes over a curved silicone shield and applying a perming solution.
Lash extensions are artificial eyelashes that are added to your natural lashes to extend their length and thickness.

How long do lash lifts last?

A lash lift will typically last about 3-8 weeks depending on your own natural lash growth and how well you take care of your lashes. Long lasting results are 50% procedure and 50% aftercare. Lash Lifts only changes the shape of the hair that Is processed – it does not change the shape of the hair that grows out. The lashes may appear wonky when it grows out.

How often do I need to get it done?

It is recommended to re-lift lashes every 6-8 weeks depending on the clients growth cycle and aftercare. The faster the natural lashes grow, the sooner the lash lift will grow out. To maintain neat and lifted lashes, the natural lashes will have to be re-lifted every 6-8 weeks.

Will a lash lift damage your lashes? Is it safe?

Lash lifts will not damage your lashes if done properly. It is extremely safe. We use The Lash Shops “Instant Lash Lift System” which is a Health Canada registered system. It is manufactured to be in compliance with Health Canada Regulations.

During the treatment, your eyes are covered on both the top and bottom with protectors. The perming lotion and setting solution are carefully applied to the eyelashes, not to the skin. If for some reason these lotions come into contact with the skin or eye, they can be wiped away and flushed with water.

Age has a huge affect on the strength and growth cycle of lashes, due to change in hormonal and protein levels. Lashes get weaker and thinner with age as hormone levels and building blocks for hair growth decreases. Older clientele may have weaker natural lashes. Lifting weak lashes can damage the lashes.

Can I use mascara on top of the lash lift?

Yes, but never any waterproof formulas. Waterproof mascara dehydrates the lashes in order to stay on which causes breakage to the lash. You should wait at least 48 hours following your treatment before applying any eye makeup.

DO THEY DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

No, lash lifts should not damage your lashes. Even if you end up with a lash lift that goes a little wrong, the effects of the procedure are only semi-permanent. Eyelashes naturally fall out and regrow every 4 to 6 weeks, so you won't have to worry about damaging your lashes long term.

Just don’t go get a lash lift too often as this can damage them. Wait at least 6 weeks.
