BOOKING POLICIES

The policies are made to help provide you the best experience with the best possible results. By booking an appointment, you are agreeing to these terms. Please ensure you read all polices and FAQ before booking your appointment. This is your responsibility, not ours to remind you.

  • A non-refundable retainer fee of $100+ 13%HST is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The retainer fee will be deducted from the total cost of the session.

  • Please always text upon arrival and wait for a response before you attempt to enter the studio.

  • Refrain from wearing heavy scented body products.

  • No extra guests allowed.

  • Please ensure you can speak and read basic English as a consent waiver form is required to be filled out and questions are asked during procedure.

  • Failure in booking the correct service may result in a loss of retainer fee and cancellation of the appointment.

PAYMENTS/BALANCE

  • All transactions are subject to 13% HST tax. This includes retainer fees.

  • The remaining balance will be due on the day of your appointment and can be paid by cash, e-transfer or any major credit cards.

  • Credit card and e-transfer payments will subject to 13% HST tax + processing fees.

  • ALL RETAINER FEES are NON-REFUNDABLE.

LATE POLICY

  • There is a grace period of 15 minutes. After 15-20 minutes late, you will be charged a $50 + 13%HST. After 20 minutes late, your appointment will be CANCELLED and you will lose your retainer fee. To reschedule, a new retainer fee is required.

  • Please allocate plenty of time for travel and account for weather, construction, distance, traffic, public transit delays, parking, etc. It is the clients responsibility to familiarize with the address prior to appointment

  • Due to our tightly booked schedule, we are generally unable to extend your session beyond the original appointment time so please be considerate of your artists time as being late can cut into your own procedure time as as well as the next clients time. I suggest coming only 10 minutes earlier.

  • Advise the artist if you are going to be late.

RECHEDULING POLICY

  • A reschedule to your new appointment is allowed only ONCE. Must advise us 3 days in advanced or forfeit your retainer fee.

  • If done more than once regardless of notice given, your retainer fee will be forfeited and you will be required to send another $100 +13% HST to secure your new appointment at the current rate.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If you need to cancel, please email info@beautywithshirley.com. There are no refunds of retainer fee.

  • Any late cancellations due to COVID-19 requires proof of your antigen / PCR test results to avoid penalty fee.

NO SHOW POLICY

  • Please be courteous and advise the artist if you are unable to make it to your appointment.

  • There will be no refunds of your retainer fee.

  • If you decide to no show on the day of the appointment with no notice, you will be charged 100% of the service with the credit card that is saved on file. If you wish to book another appointment, service is to be paid 100% upon booking. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • As a courtesy, we will send an appointment reminder 2-3 days prior to your appointment time. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment time & date to avoid late arrivals and missed appointments.

IMPORTANT

All permanent cosmetics are considered a multiple-step appointment process.


Healed results will vary with each individual. While strictly adhering to the aftercare is crucial, we have no control over what occurs during the healing process. Absolutely NO guarantees can be made and additional sessions may be required to obtain optimal results. Additional charges will apply.


Although we give our best efforts to provide you with quality service, many factors such as; lifestyle, skin type, proper after care, current lip colour, eyebrow hair, bone structure, skin care products, any medications before and after can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently. In order for your new brows/lips to heal properly (and look their very best) please follow all Pre & Post Care Instructions provided! These instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessing bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results  

  • All transactions are final. No refunds will be issued once the services are completed. I will do my best to ensure complete satisfaction with our services and results. However, if you are unhappy for any reason, please email info@beautywithshirley.com

  • Rates are subject to change without notice. I will honour the price the time you booked your appointment at if changes were made as long as a retainer fee was sent.

  • I reserve the right to refuse any service to anyone at my discretion.

  • Full complete address and instructions will be provided in a confirmation email only after booking. This will be sent out to the email account you register with so please input it correctly. (always check your inbox/junk mail)

DISQUALIFICATIONS

PERMANENT MAKEUP IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WHO ARE/HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Actively positive with COVID 19 or have been in contact with someone who has been tested positive recently
•  If you have recently gotten the COVID vaccine within the last 2 weeks
• If you are pregnant/breast feeding (at risk and sensitive due to change in hormones)
• If you are under the age of 18
• If you have any active cold sores, shingles. skin rashes, sun burns, acne, ezcema, psoriasis, blemishes, lesions / undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the area of the procedure
• If you have deep wrinkles in the brow area (may give brows an uneven look)
• If you have had facial surgery in the last 4 months
• If you recently got any Botox/Fillers done within 5 weeks
• If you have active cold sores or history of cold sores (MUST see doctor to get prescribed antiviral herpes medication a week prior to appointment)
• If you are diabetic (will not heal properly) - must provide doctor written consent
• If you recently got any brow wax, tinting, laminated done recently within the last 4 weeks
• If you have been taking Accutane within the last 12 months (extremely sensitive & thin skin)
• If you take blood thinning medication (increased bleeding which prevents pigment deposit)
• If you have a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
• If you are anemic (can faint easily)
• If you have any skin related autoimmune disorders
• If you have epilepsy (seizures or fainting)
• If you use retinol/retinoids (VITAMIN A) - must be off atleast for 5 weeks as it affects healing and skin sensitivity
• If you have any transmittable blood related conditions or diseases such as Hepatitis B,C or HIV
• If you have any skin allergies to pigmentation or makeup
• If you have skin cancer
• If you are suffering from bleeding disorder such as hemophilia or have healing disorders
• If you have a pacemarker or have major heart problems
• If you are undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
• If you are taking steroid medication
• If you are allergic to Lidocaine, Prilocaine, Benzocaine, Tetracaine and Epinephrine in a cream or gel form are typically used as anesthesia/numbing

If you do not clear all of the qualifications mentioned above, please DO NOT book an appointment. Inquire with your doctor first. If you arrive to the appointment with any of the contraindications, the service will be subjected to a cancellation and forfeiting your retainer fee. I have the right to refuse service. 

PLEASE NOTE

  • For lip blush - If you are a smoker, you may not heal properly & may have zero retention. For dark lip neutralization services, smoking will cause darkness in lips to reappear

  • If you have a scar in the procedure area, this area will be more difficult to implant pigment

  • Please note if you are diabetic or have high blood pressure, you must have this under control and balanced with medication. It is easy to get an infection and risk not healing properly. A doctors note is required

DISCLAIMER

Beauty with Shirley is not responsible and or liable for any changes in shape or colour once you leave the studio. Although, I can do my part by giving my best efforts to provide you with optimal results, but the ultimate responsibility after that is on the client to protect and take care of their tattoo until they are fully healed to ensure great results.

There are too many factors that contribute to the overall look, healing process and retention of your tattoos, which can result in a less than desirable outcome. 

It is crucial for clients to follow Pre-Care and After Care Instructions to help achieve the best results possible during and after the process. Permanent makeup is an art and results are never guaranteed (if you require additional touchups, appointments will be based on our current availability and prices). Additional touch ups will be done at the expense of the client. 

It is the client’s responsibility to read all Policies, Pre/After Care, Contraindications, Disclaimers in its entirety; once you book an appointment and  a retainer fee has been made, it is an automatic agreement to accept and comply to all the terms.  Retainer fees are all non-refundable so please make sure you have read through everything.
