    • No fish oil 24 hrs before as it can cause blood clotting

    • No Fillers/Botox for at least 5 weeks prior to your appointment (forehead, cheek, eyes)· No facials, Chemical peels, Waxing, Brow Tinting, Brow Lamination, Microdermabrasion,  or any chemical exfoliants at least  4 weeks prior to your appointment

HOW TO TAKE CARE MY BROWS AFTER PROCEDURE

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS TO ENSURE PROPER HEALING AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE

Aftercare kits are provided post procedure.

We want you to be in love with the results, so please follow all instructions provided to you. Failure to do so can lead to discoloration, pigment loss, and or possible infections.

    • Healing time and results will always vary due to everyone 's skin being different. Daily lifestyle, diet, facial regimen, medications, are different factors to healed results.

Touchups are recommended to maintain the color and definition of your brows. On average, it takes about 14 days but some clients may take longer than 14 days for peeling to complete, be patient and trust the process.

Expect for brows to fade up to 50% based on your skin type; specifically oily skin with large pores.

    • Absolutely zero moisturizer, scented cleanser, sunscreen, or make-up application on the eyebrows until they are completely healed or risk infection

    • No hot tubs, salt water, swimming, or excessive sweating as the brows should not get completely wet (excessive sweating will push out the pigment) - for atleast 2-3 weeks

    • Avoid hot steamy showers and direct water hitting your face

    • Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for atleast 2 weeks· Itchiness during the healing period is normal but please refrain from picking / scratching at the scabs/flaky and let them fall off naturally as you don't want to take off the scab prematurely resulting in patchiness of eyebrows

    • No Botox, waxing, fillers , exfoliants, facials around and on the brow area until they are completely healed -- give it atleast 4-5 weeks before doing so

    • Avoid sleeping on your face/eyebrows during this time and best to not have loose hair brushing against your brow as your hair can have bacteria/dust

    • Please allow 6-7 weeks to see the true results of your healed brows· Loss of colour during the scabbing / peeling stage is normal as the colours will resurface after they are healed

    • Once your eyebrows have completely peeled, they will look very light and foggy (this is completely normal, which is why we recommend to get a touch up after 5 weeks and nothing earlier as your brows need time to completely heal)

    • Do not use products containing AHA’s on or near pigmented areas including glycolic or lactic acids or Retin A products (they will fade the brows)· Please remember that your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare all play a part to your healed results.

    • After the brows have completely healed and all scabs have fallen off, your eyebrows will become 40% lighter and will shrink in size· Uneven colour can be expected as the initial appointment sometimes isn't enough as everyones skin holds pigment different.

    DAILY AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS TO ENSURE PROPER HEALING AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE

Immediately after your appointment, your brows will appear much darker, bolder and may be red. The redness and swelling  will subside in 24  hours. Expect a tingly, tenderness as well but it will  also subside in a few hours.

On average, your new brows will take about 14 days to heal. During this time, it is important you follow the steps provided by me.

Your eyebrows will go through many phases during these 14 days.

    Day 1 :

If your brows are oozing plasma / lymph after the procedure, take a damp paper towel and pat away the excess every hour until bedtime. This will prevent a thick crust from forming

    • Use a gentle unscented cleanser to clean your eyebrows. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

    • Avoid the shower head stream to hit you directly in the face for the first 7 days. It's fine to get them wet a bit but gently pat dry with a paper towel

    • Avoid touching your face / brows with your fingers as they can have bacteria on them and create an infection

    • If your face is oily, blot your face / forehead gently

    Day 2-4:

    • After day 2, there should be no more oozing of lymph. Keep them clean and dry and allow them to breathe so they can heal.

    • You can start cleaning your eyebrows gently by using the sponge provided (soak it first) and water to lightly pat the area. Once done, please pat it dry with a paper towel. DO NOT RUB OR WIPE.

    • After cleaning, use a small grain size amount of ointment with a clean qtip. (Twice a day morning & night if you’re normal to dry skin. Once a day only if you are oily

    • Avoid excessive sweating / hot steam showers for the next few days as the skin is still open. (i.e. gym, working out as this can push out the pigments). Please wait until the area has healed over, then it will be fine to resume exercise. (2 weeks)

    • Your brows should still be very bold and dark at this time, but the swelling would have subsided

    Day 4-6:

    • The brow area may feel tight and harder as your body is naturally absorbing and healing your brows by creating scabs

    • They will feel dry and you may experience itching and flaking. Try your best to not itch and just poke them with a qtip if itchy· If it gets too itchy or dry, use a CLEAN qtip each time and apply a grain size ointment provided gently just enough to keep it moisturized and to aid with the flaking and itchiness

    • Do not pick at scabs or peeling skin during this phase

    Day 6-12:

    • The scabs will begin to flake off exposing a faint tattoo underneath

    • The tattoo will look foggy and light in colour, some area may seem to have disappeared. The sharpness will return gradually as the dead skin slowly falls off over the next couple weeks

    • Don't freak out with the loss of colour or patchiness as this is normal

    Day 12-25:

    • No extra precautions need to be taken at this point

    • You can discontinue ointment after all scabs have fallen off

    • There is generally a very thin layer of dead skin covering the area at this stage, which is contributing to lack of sharpness however this dead skin will continue to flake off over the next couple weeks

    • The upper layers of the skin heal faster than the layers below. Although your tattoo might look great at this point, your skin is still healing underneath

    • It takes about 5 weeks for your skin to fully heal, this is why we recommend a touch up after 5 weeks·

    • After 4-5 weeks, you may resume your regular routine

    DO NOT :

    • Pick the scabs or any peeling skin. Allow the scabs to fall off naturally. Never pick or pull the scabs off. Doing so can cause the pigment to be pulled off and leave skin pink

    • DO not apply any makeup on them until they are completely healed

    • Scratch your tattoo

    • Expose your tattoo to sun. When the tattoo is new, your skin is raw and healing which makes it more sensitive to the sun. Once your tattoo has healed, you can apply sunscreen to the area when going out in the sun. Constant exposure to the sun can cause the tattoo to fade prematurely

    • Submerge in water. No swimming, saunas or steam rooms for two weeks. You want the area to stay dry

    • Do not apply Polysporin, Vaseline or any product containing Lanolin or healing agents. This can suffocate your eyebrows.

    • Touch ups are optional but recommended after 5 weeks depending on how your brows have healed and held pigment.

DO NOT WAIT TO BOOK YOUR TOUCH UP APPOINTMENT as I may not have any availability and you will have to pay a higher fee after the 12 week window.

  • HOW TO PREPARE FOR MY LIP APPOINTMENT

    • If your appointment is booked during an outbreak of cold sores on your lips please do not come in to your appointment, the procedure will not be done and your appointment will be canceled and your deposit will be forfeited. Please be aware that if you have a history of simplex virus herpes (cold sore), you may awaken an outbreak following this treatment which will affect the results. Even if you have no present cold sores, It is HIGHLY recommended to see your physician/doctor and take an anti-viral medication (Valtrex) 5 days before, and then the day of, then 5 after until you have completely healed. Lysine works as well. NO EXCEPTIONS. THIS IS A MUST

    • Avoid smoking 48 hours before procedure

    • DO NOT consume caffeine (tea included) or alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment to prevent excessive pain and bleeding which will lead to bruising/swelling of the lips

    • DO NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such as Aspirin, Niacin, and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hours prior to your procedure. Tylenol 1 can be taken 1hr before if you have very low pain tolerance

    • Avoid multivitamins for at least 48 hours prior to service

    • Avoid exercising the day of the procedure

    • Do not get any Microdermabrasion, Chemical peels, Laser skin resurfacing, Retinol (Vitamin A), Fish oil at least 4 weeks before your appointment

    • No Retin A or Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) or any skin care products that encourage exfoliation around the mouth area.

    • Do not get lip injections or fillers 5 weeks before and after this procedure

    • YOU MUST exfoliate your lips and keep them really moisturized and stay hydrated the entire week before your appointment as we cannot perform lip blush tattoo on dry / cracked lips. I suggest using Aquaphor daily.

Appointment will be cancelled if you come in with dry lips and you will forfeit your deposit. This will cause more bleeding/bruising. (Coconut and sugar works)

HOW TO EXFOLIATE YOUR LIPS AT HOME

    1. Place equal parts of Sugar & Vaseline or Coconut oil in a small dish

    2. Dip a cotton swab into the mixture

    3. Wet your lips first with water and then exfoliate your lips gently in a circular motion. Be careful not to overscrub or scrub too harshly

    4. Wipe/Clean off any excess exfoliator with a soft damp cloth then follow up with a lip balm or vasline to keep them moisturized.

    DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT

Please bring in an extra brand new disposable surgical mask as you don’t want bacteria from the current mask and risk infection.

    • Please wear light makeup when you come for your appointment as we will be taking plenty of Before & After photos/videos. It is also advised to bring your makeup bag with you to touch up after the end

    • Eat before your appointment as will you not be able to do so for at least 4-5 hours

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

    DAY 1:

    • Your lips will appear dark/bright/bold immediately after the procedure (about 20% darker than what your healed results are expected to be).

    • During the next hour or so, your lips will appear even darker (about 40% darker than expected healed results).

    • All clients will have moderate swelling and tenderness after the procedure

    • Expect lips to produce lymph. Use damp cotton pads and gently pat it dry. Apply ointment

    DAY 2:

    • All signs of swelling will subside. Your lips will feel a bit tender and tight. They will be dry for up to 3 weeks.

    • Keep reapplying given lip ointment every hour or so to keep them hydrated. Careful to not lick or pick any scabs.

    • Mild itchiess

    DAY 3:

    • Shedding will begin. Do not pick at the scabs! No pulling, rubbing, picking, licking or you will prematurely remove colour which will cause your lips to heal unevenly. No trauma at all. Be extremely careful after showers.

    DAY 4-7:

    • Lips will continue to lighten and shed. Shedding should be complete around days 5-7.

    • Colour will gradually bloom in 5-8 weeks, so please be patient

For any dark lip neutralization - your lips will get darker before it gets lighter. Please be patient with the process.

Once you are done peeling, your lips will initially look even. Then, the dark areas will get even darker than they were before (don’t freak). Once that phase passes, your lips will begin to lighten up again. There is also a risk of hypo pigmentation in which certain areas of your lips will be discoloured or turn white. If this does happen, it is temporary and will go away. This whole process takes about 7-8 weeks to see the final true result. During this time, you may wear lipstick when you are done peeling while you are going through these phases.

HOW TO TAKE CARE MY LIPS AFTER PROCEDURE

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS TO ENSURE PROPER HEALING AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS

Aftercare kits are provided post procedure.

    • After the tattoo, you are to rinse your mouth with an antiseptic mouth wash

    • Please change your mask 3-4 times a day if you will be wearing it all day to avoid any possible infection

    • Swelling is normal and will subside in a few days. You may apply ice if they feel tender or swollen or bruised. The ice must be in a clean ziplock bag, not directly on skin (Can do this for the next few days)

    • Always wash your hands before touching / cleaning your lips

    • Do not splash-wash your face. Gently clean your lips twice daily with a damp cotton pad

    • No kissing, no oral sex, no licking lips, no touching, no picking or scratching of your lips for 7 days. You do not want an infection as this is an OPEN WOUND. An infection can ruin the tattoo

    • No smoking for the next 7 days (Vape is okay but please clean the vape with alcohol wipes before using)

    • For the first day only, your lips will produce lymph, this is normal. Please use damp cotton pads/paper towel to gently pat it dry to prevent large crust build up. (expect to see pigments as you wipe, this is normal and natural) Every time you wipe, apply ointment

    • After day 2, please use only the provided A&D ointment with a clean qtip each time with a dabbing motion. Not your hands unless they are properly washed. Keep your lips hydrated at all times so apply the ointment every few hours

    • Please drink through a straw (for 1 week)

    • DO NOT eat or drink anything that is staining, such as red wine, soy sauce or anything that is very sour/citrus, salty spicy, or oily as it can irritate your very sensitive lips. Cut food into bits and place into your mouth. DO NOT rub your lips with food or anything in general—as this can cause bacteria to get into the fragile skin. Please treat the lips as if they are raw and tender. Eat solid foods rather than liquids / soup

    • Be careful while brushing your teeth. Natural toothpastes are best (AVOID WHITENING TOOTHPASTE), and spit frequently to avoid toothpaste foam buildup on your lips. Don't overstretch your lips. Use straw to retrieve water and rinse carefully

    • Do not expose your tattoo to UV rays or tanning beds for 4 weeks after procedure. These can alter the appearance of your tattoo dramatically

    • Do not sweat on the tattoo until all the scabs have come off naturally. Sweat will take the pigment from your tattoo.

    • Do not get facials, fillers, botox, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion, lip scrubs for 5 weeks post appointment date

    • Do not sleep on your face as you don’t want to lift your scabs prematurely

    • Sleep on a clean pillow case to avoid infection

    • Always use a clean towel or paper towel to pat face/lips dry after showering

    • Avoid harsh cleansers, creams, lipstick, lipgloss, makeup or any other products on the treated area until all the scabs have fallen off naturally. These things can jeopardize the healing of the tattoo

    • Avoid underwater swimming for a minimum of 4 weeks as you don’t want to risk bacterial infection

    • Don’t get your tattoo too wet for too long. It will make the scabs soggy and easier to fall off prematurely. Remember, you want to keep the scabs on for as long as you can and let them fall off naturally

    IMPORTANT:

If a cold sore outbreak does occur, it will generally begin on day 3 of the healing process. This is not caused by your tattoo or your artist. Herpes lies dormant in the nervous system forever and can reappear if you are exposed to trauma. please contact your doctor to see if they recommend putting you on an antiviral herpes medication. All clients who are prone to cold sores were advised from me prior to take antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak, but sometimes it can live in your body without your knowledge and cause a surprise outbreak. This is extremely rare, but if you feel a strange sensation in your lips it is always advised to seek medical advice asap.

    • Remember, your selected color will be stronger and more sharply defined immediately after your tattoo.

    • The next day, your lips will appear darker in color.

    • After the skin has flaked/peeled away from your lips (during days 3-5) your lips will appear as if little or no color is present. This is normal and part of the healing process.

    • In the 3 weeks following this, the color will blossom into a considerably softer version of the original color.

    • The approximate healing period is 14 days, however, healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised or if you are generally stressed, or by poor diet.

    • Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected. This is why we book a touch-up appointment - allowing us to fine-tune your lip tattoo.

Avoid products on healed lips such as:

    o Benzoyl peroxide

    o Hydrogen peroxide

    o Glycolic acid

    o Apple cider vinegar

    o Vitamin C

    o Retinol

These products are not recommended on your lips as they can fade your tattoo faster. It is recommended to invest in a good SPF lipbalm / chapstick to prevent faster fading of the tattoo. Lip blush can last up to three years if taken care of properly.

    Long Term Care

    • Use sunscreen on your lips every day. Sun exposure will gradually fade your lip tattoo.

    • Keep your lips hydrated 24/7.

    • If you are planning a chemical peel, laser, or IPL/hair removal on your face, or an MRI scan, please inform the technician of your lip tattoo.

    • Please inform the National Blood Service if you donate blood, as you may not be eligible to give blood for 4 months post-application.

*The final results heal 40-50% lighter than the day you got them done. The bright. bold, vibrant and darkness of the first few days is followed by peeling/scabbing and a few days of patchiness. Color looks uneven, light and dark, during this time. When ALL of the scabs have fallen off, it takes a few weeks for the color to slowly settle in and come back. The healed results will be softer and not as crisp.

We cannot control how much color your skin chooses to absorb, or how evenly it heals to a certain extent. Most procedures require a second session to fix any inconsistencies and perfect what was done the first time. Minor adjustments in color and shaping are possible at the second session.

  • PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Using your regular moisturizer can slow down the micro-injury healing

    • Avoid direct sun light and over exposure for atleast 72 hours. (Tanning beds as well) Wear sunscreen SPF 50 starting on 2 onwards
    • Hyaluronic acid serums should be used post-microneedling. Use this from days 1 to 14 after microneedling to hydrate and replenish the skin.

    • NO swimming/sauna for 24 hours.

    • Avoid the temptation to over touch the brow area after treatment. Touching can add oils to the area (from fingers/hands) and could clog the open pores.

    • Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat; the use of tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours.

    • No sweating/exercise for 24 hours.

    • Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for three days before and after the treatment.

    • No self-tanning products should be used on the face for 48 hours after treatment.

    • Avoid oil based products / cleansers as it can ruin the brow lamination quicker

HOW DO I KEEP MY EYEBROWS IN SHAPE AFTER BROW LAMINATION?

Brow lamination does not permanently set your hairs in your desired, brushed up position. It breaks down the bonds in your hair so that you can easily manipulate them into the look you want. All you’ll need to do is brush them back into place with a spoolie brush in the morning to get them back to that fluffy finish – no product required. These results will last anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

It is strongly recommended that you apply a conditioning oil (castor oil, avocado oil, and argan oil) twice daily after brow lamination to maintain healthy, hydrated eyebrow hairs. Avoid rubbing the product on. Use a q-tip and spoolie to apply oils.

  • PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimize your sun exposure and refrain from using tanning beds for at least 2 weeks before your session. Tanned or sunburned skin can increase the risk of side effects and complications during the laser treatment.

    2. Not be pregnant

    3. Waxing and/or the use of chemical depilatories must be avoided in the treatment area for 2 weeks before and after the treatment to avoid skin sensitivity. Shaving is allowed before treatment to remove surface hair in the areas to be treated.

    4. Discontinue Certain Skincare Products: Stop using skin products containing retinoids/retinol, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), or any exfoliating agents 2 weeks prior to your session, as these can make your skin hypersensitive to the laser.

    5. Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment helps keep your skin healthy and may aid the healing process post-treatment.

    POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

    • Immediately after treatment, there may be “frosting” on the area that is treated. Redness and swelling is typical. Pinpoint bleeding may also occur.  A cool compress may be applied and Tylenol is recommended for discomfort.

    • Clean treated area daily allowing water or shower to run over the wound, and then pat the area dry. Apply Aquaphor ointment to wound area 2-3 times a day. Keep the area moist, and let the scab fall off on its own (if there is).

    • Avoid HOT showers / saunas / steamrooms

    • Cover the treated area with a nonstick Telfa gauze pad (after Aquaphor is applied) until the wound is healed.

    • Do NOT pick, peel, rub, scrub, or scratch at the skin in the treatment area throughout the healing process. If crusting occurs, do not shave or pick area.

    • Although blisters and scabs can be a normal response to tattoo removal, most patients will not experience them. In the case that you do, it is important to not pop or pick at them.

    • If the blister pops on its own, keep the skin over it covered with a healing ointment and gauze to promote healing and prevent scarring.

    • No swimming or using hot tubs/whirlpools until the wound heals. Physical exercise that causes sweating should be discontinued for at least 2 -5 days after treatment as excessive perspiration may disrupt the healing process.

    • You will want to keep the skin as cool and comfortable as possible.

    • Avoid sun exposure. When treatment area is exposed to the sun use a thick layer of 30+ SPF sunblock with zinc oxide and reapply every 2 hours.

    • For at least a month after your tattoo removal, do not use self-tanning sprays or lotions. These can both irritate the skin and can stain the area that you are having treated.
